I got very excited when my cousin told me that our favorite online store was having extra percentage discounts on girls clothing Clearance Items last week.  So I took the opportunity to look for girls' undergarments for my darling daughter.  Luckily I found a few and one of them was a bandeau bralette for $1.80 includes tax and free shipping.  Yeah!!!

Body Wash And Hydrating Soothing Gel Products

 I got some deals from CVS.  The sent me an Extra Bucks on my account for $2.50.  I went there today to spend it before it expires very soon.  By the way, I have an Extra Care Card from CVS that is why I receive coupons and Extra Bucks once in a while.

I'm low on body wash so good thing I found these products on clearance yesterday.  The total OOP (out-of-pocket) for these two were $2.39 plus tax.

Stylish Summer Sandals For Girls

Girls' sandals.

I received a coupon code $10 off $10.01 purchase from Justice.com  on email.  So I immediately searched for items to use the coupon for.  

I found these cute pair of sandals on sale for $11 something.  I thought they would be great to wear this summer. My darling daughter approved the style so I quickly added to cart and checked out using the coupon code. I paid $2.05 (including the tax) for the sandals.

  

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we did curbside pick-up only.

Finally Found The Much-Needed iPad Case

My darling daughter received an iPad as a birthday and Christmas gift last year.  . It was a surprised present from me and her daddy.  We were hesitant at first because we thought giving our daughter a gadget at age 9 is quite early.  But we also realized that this device can be of use learning wise.  Also, we both agreed to monitor our DD's iPad usage.

DD enjoys drawing on her iPad as well as playing kids' games on there.  There are educational apps or learning apps that our darling daughter enjoys.  One of these learning apps is BrainPOP Jr. Movie of the Week.  She takes it with her whenever we travel out of town and every time we go for play dates.

For months, I am worrying about the iPad being dropped accidentally.  I have been window shopping online for durable iPad cases for weeks.  Today I found a good iPad case at Office Depot online store.   I found this Targus® SafePort® Rugged Case For Apple® iPad® on clearance sale for $9.99 (Regular Price $49.99).  Yes, it took me a long time to find "the one". :D

I trust my darling daughter that she will use her iPad with care with or without a protective case, but I am more complacent of its safety now that it has one.  By the way, like the rest of the brick-and-mortar stores, Office Depot store locations are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  They only offer "order online pick-up in store" or simply "curbside pick-up".

Bread Box For The Kitchen

 Let me tell you a secret.  I was hooked into local online garage sale for years now.  It's a garage sale but not an actual selling in the garages of people's homes.  You, the buyer, pick up the sold items at the seller's home or both of you can meet up at a safe place.  

This bread box I bought from the online garage sale five years ago was priced $3.  But I drove about 20 miles for it.  I know it was ridiculous for me to drive that far for this.  That was one of the "first time" times of engaging into this online buy and sell stuff.  It did not take me a long time to realize though.  After the very far driving to pick up an easel for my darling daughter, that was when I said to myself "this is definitely the last pick up driving 25 miles".

Comfy and Stylish Sports Bras For Girls

If you are looking for cheap children's clothing, try shopping at Kohl's or Old Navy.  You don't need to buy regular priced clothes for your kids.  As a frugal shopper mom, I tend to look at the Clearance aisle for good deals.  Sometimes I get luck to find branded kids' apparel like this Under Armour sports bra from Kohl's priced at $2.99 on clearance.  My darling daughter is into sports bras now even though she's only nine years old.  She said they feel comfortable on her because they are snug fit.

My other favorite clothing store to shop is Old Navy.  It has been my go-to kids' clothing store for years.  Because I have a petite body structure, I shop at Old Navy for sizes 14-16 girls clothes for myself sometimes. But these sports bras and a pair of shorts are all $5.00.

Hello there!  Happy New Year!  Welcome to The Frugal Us blog.  

This blog is created because we would like to keep notes of the shopping adventures of my family.  As you know, we are a family of discount shoppers. :) My dear husband, myself, and even my darling daughter are thrilled whenever we find great deals on products and items we need for ourselves and for our humble home.  I am wise shopper.  I don't just buy things I don't need.

I also consider retail therapy as a my outlet to keeping myself sane.  I mean, I enjoy window shopping, too.  A lot of women do.  

In this blog we will share some frugal shopping experiences, tips, and once in a while some resources to where you can find great finds on products you enjoy.  In addition, there will be for sale items here too, like, unused or preowned items we would like to get rid off.  This is also our way of saving money for future shopping or future travel plans.

Besides frugal shopping or thrift shopping, I also like receiving freebies (free products) in the mail.  Free product samples they call it.  Couponing is one of my favorite shopping habits, too.  Getting products at a discount price is quite remarkable.
